NEARBY ATTRACTION - VYSALI VIEWPOINT

Idamalayaar is a perfect place for a breath taking view of the reservoir and the “Vaisali” caves. Major attraction is Dam, Reservoir and the vaisali caves (Where vaisali film shoot here) You have to go 2.5 Km uphill to see the cave created from solid rock during the british ruling period. This cave has an interesting story too. While building the Idukki Dam, rocks blasted off were taken through this cave to the dam site.

The lesser-known Karimbankuthu waterfall near here in Idukki district is as beautiful as a scenic painting during the monsoon. The waterfall in Periyar river, located at Vathikkudy panchayat border, is attracting many tourists nowadays. The main charm of the waterfall is the turbulent multi-layered cascade that attains a calm demeanour at its final stage at Panakootty. The beauty of the waterfall attains its peak during heavy monsoon and is best viewed from Poomamkandam, Kottakkallimala and Thoompara

Uppukunnu view point is near Kulamavu Dam in Idukki is less known location. This view point is situated Udumbannoor to Idukki road. It is one of the peaceful place where you could go for a long drive with your friends and family. Beautiful and scenic location. Night view was excellent. From the top many places are visible. Malankara dam also can be seen from the top.
